About Preforms
The concept of ‘Backward Integration’ incepted by us, makes us the only beverage company in India to manufacture its own PET Preforms. We started with PET preform molding in 1996. What started with manufacturing at 2,100 MT in 1996 is now a whopping 53,000 MT annual production – making us one of the largest companies to purchase and convert PET resin into preforms of international standards. We take great care in the standard of quality delivered and ensure timely supply and uniformity in the weight of preforms.
Parle Agro is a one stop shop for PET preforms. We provide an expansive and elaborate range of PET preforms, which optimizes the design and grammage to best suit the bottle stretch ratios. With our years of experience in manufacturing for multiple industries and their requisite PET containers, we are equipped with the technical and material aptitude to provide for an array of designs and needs.
Machines used:
As of 2019, we are equipped with twelve state-of-the-art facilities, each enhanced with various ranges of Husky, SIPA, and Krauss-Maffei from Canada, Italy, and Germany respectively. We have expanded from our first-ever manufacturing unit at Silvassa, to manufacturing facilities in Khurda and Sitarganj. We have, with our technical prowess and innovative ability, produced preforms for renowned companies and several prominent brands, revolutionizing their design development and grammage selection since 1996. We offer a wide range of preforms, with high-quality and a variety of configurations and grammage. Bringing innovation and our technical adeptness, we are one of the first companies to manufacture the preform for a 160ml PET bottle. Keeping up with the highest standards of manufacturing, our processes are completely automated with no human interference at any stage. Until a few years ago, our preforms were used for widespread consumption, spanning across the spectrum of beverages, packaged drinking water, edible oil, pharma, liquor, cosmetics, home care, food products, and confectionery items, amongst others. Adapting to the contemporary market requirements has led us to focus solely on creating preform for packaged drinking water and beverages.
Innovation within Preforms
Short neck
First in the country to launch a PET perform with short neck-Two Start Short-Neck; introducing consumers to a 1 litre bottle with phenomenally low grammage of 19gm vis-à-vis an industry average of 21gm; thereby saving the cost on closures. Recently, we have developed a customized bottle neck for Appy Fizz 160ml bottle.
Best Bottle Preform Stretch Ratio
We have created the Best Bottle-Preform stretch ratio, resulting in a 23gm preform for a 600ml fruit drink bottle. We take pride in being one of few companies manufacturing PET Preform derived from the bottle design and the best stretch ratio specifications. We have maintained the best bottle stretch ratios for our newly introduced Appy Fizz 160ml bottle; at the best-optimized grammage of 9.6gm.
Others
We are the first company to offer two stage bottles for country liquor and introduce 200ml square water bottles for flight consumption. We are also accredited with being the first company to produce a 21.8gms perform for Packaged Drinking water when the industry was offering 30-32gms in PVC
